Objectives To study the incidence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction(POCD) in the elderly non-cardiac or neurosurgery patients and explore theunderlying risk factors.Methods167patients older than60years undergoing non-cardiac orneurosurgery surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi MedicalUniversity during September2011to January2012were collected. Get approvalwith the patient and family at one day before the operation. The cognitivefunction of the patients was assessed at day1before and days3,7after operationusing Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE), the incidence was obversed, andmultivariate logistic regression analysis were used to examine the relationshipbetween perioperative risk factors and POCD.Results1.The results showed that POCD was present in64of167 patients at3days after surgery, and33at one week.2.Logistic regression analysis showed that hypotension during theoperation was possible risk factor for POCD and Patient Control Analgesia wasadvantage to POCD.Conclusion POCD was present in38.8%elderly patients3days afternon-cardiac or neurosurgery surgery and in19.8%at one week. The using ofephedrine during the operation was possible risk factor for POCD andPatient Control Analgesia was advantage to POCD. |
