Objective:To analyze the risk factors of Postoperative cognitive Dysfunction after Transurethral resection of Prostate(TURP) in elderly patients. In that case,we can diagnose and prevent at an early stage.Methods:260patients of TURP were divided into POCD (n=238) and non POCD (n=22) groups(The ages of the patients were from70to97years old),ASA Ⅰ-Ⅲ, All the patients’ Preoperative Cognitive Function was normal. Cognition function was assessed by MMSE at1day before and1,2,3,5,7days after operation. Age, weigh, operation history, alcohol consumption per week, coronary heart disease history, hypertension history, diabetes history, brain atrophy history, preoperative anxiety, type of anesthesia, time of anesthesia, time of surgery, the times of low BP, the Hb of before and after surgery, postoperative infection, postoperative ischemia, postoperative pain were recorded. The factor was analyzed using logistic regression to select risk factor of POCD.Results:We finally included a total of260patients,of whom22patients had POCD(8.46%),of whom238patients did not have POCD (91.54%). Two groups of weigh, the Hb of before and after surgery, time of anesthesia, time of surgery, type of anesthesia all showed no statistically significant differences (p>0.05);Compare the age of two groups, the age of POCD group was obvious older than non POCD group and had statistically significant differences(p<0.05).Both the times of low BP and alcohol consumption per week were more in POCD group than non POCD group, showed statistically significant differences(p<0.05);Operation history and preoperative anxiety, showed statistically significant differences (p<0.05);Hypertensi-on history and diabetes history showed no statistically significant differences (p>0.05);Coronary heart disease history and brain atrophy history showed statistical-ly significant differences (p<0.05);Postoperative pain showed no statistically signific-ant differences (p>0.05);Postoperative ischemia and postoperative infection showed statistically significant differences (p<0.05);Binary logistic regression showed all the p were below0.05about alcohol consumption per week, operation history,preoperati-ve anxiety, postoperative ischemia and postoperative infection. Conclusion:Alcohol consumption per week, operation history, preoperative anxiety, postoperative ischemia and postoperative infection were the risk factors of POCD to the elderly patients undergoing TURP.
