Objective: This meta-analysis was undertaken to compare curative effectbetween ovarian transposition and none ovarian transposition beforeradiotherapy in patients with cervical cancer patients, and to provide suggestionfor clinical treatment choice. Methods:Pubmed,Embase,CBM,CNKI and CSTJ were searched byDecember2011for relative clinical trials. Meta-analysis was done by usingSTATA9.2.Results:5trials with187patients were included. The results of themeta-analysis showed that there was significant difference in the clinical signeffective between the two therapies:[RR=26.043,95%CI (8.103,83.696)].That means there were less per menopausal symptoms of ovariantransposition before radiotherapy than pure radiation. Estrogen level wassignificance difference:[SMD=1.804,95%C(I1.43,2.17)]. That means ovarianestrogen after ovarian transposition radiation remained at a higher level. Folliclestimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) also showed significant difference: FSH:[SMD=-3.39,95%CI(-5.07,-2.78);LH:[SMD=-3.82,95%CI(-5.245,-2.39)].Because of the estrogen level is low; the FSH andLH level became low by the negative feedback mechanism function. yetcomplication rate between the two therapies was no significant difference:[RR=3.464,95%CI(0.937,12.801)];Conclusion: Based on the current evidence, for premenopausal youngcervical cancer patients, radiation on ovarian transposition can better protectovarian function, and complications not increased significantly. |
