| Objective To discuss the operative curative effect of tibial plateaufracture based on the Three-column classification.Method A retrospective analysis of39cases of tibial plateau fracturewere conducted from January2009to December2010and36cases werefollowed up.there were25males and11females,with a mean age of42.2(rangefrom23to60)years. According to the Three-column classification, there were24one-column fractures,10two-column fractures and2three-columnfractures.All patients were treated with reasonable open reduction and internalfixation.Results36patients were followed up for an average of18(ranging from12to24) months. All fractures got united with an average time of12(rangingfrom9to16)weeks. No delay union, malunion, nonunion case, No screw toggle, slide, dislodging or internal fixation failure was found during follow-up.Therewas one case of superficial infection which was healed with woundmanagement. No deep infection case. The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS)scores for all these patients at12months postoperatively was88.7(ranging from64to98).The average motion of the affected knee jionts was123°.Conclusion The Three-column Classification can help clinicians havecomprehensive and three dimensional understanding to the tibial plateaufracture, can effectively guide the choice of surgical approach and internalfixation, thus improve the operative efficacy of tibial plateau fracture. Therefore,The Three-column Classification is a more intuitive, simple and effective typingmethod to the tibial plateau fractures... |
