The Clinical Effects Analysis Of Treating Complicated Tibial Plateau Fractures Under The Direction Of Three Column Classification Theory

Objective: By analyzing data from patients of complicated tibial plateau fractures inthe past2years, the research will summarize the experiences of treating complicated tibialplateau fractures under the direction of three column classification theory.Methods: In this research,29patients with complicated tibial plateau fractures wereselected from Shandong university of traditional Chinese medicine hospital between April2010and October2011. All patients were operated under the direction of three columnclassification theory and followed up for10-16months, an average of12months.According to types of injury: traffic accident injury in15cases, falling injury in9cases,heavy weight injury in4cases. According to Schatzker classification: type Ⅳin5cases,typeⅤin16cases and typeⅥ in8cases. According to damage location types, cruciateligament injury in8cases, meniscus injury in5cases, collateral ligaments injury in4cases.There were22males and7females, aged18-67years and mean age of39.5years; leftknee in17cases, right knee in12cases. All the cases were unilateral fracture. Patients’surgery time was determined by the degree of soft tissue injury. After operations,patientswere guided to do systematic rehabilitation training and postoperative methods werenecessary to avoid complication. Patients were followed12months after surgery andclinical curative effects were evaluated by HSS.Results: A total of29patients, excellent in21cases, good in5cases, fair in3casesand poor in0. The excellent and good rate was89.6%.Conclusion: There are many advantages in the treatment of complicated tibial plateaufractures under the direction of three column classification theory, such as wide application,strong and reliable internal fixation, early functional exercises and positive recovery. Theoverall effect is satisfactory.
