Objective: To evaluat the Coflex`s and PLIF`s clinical efficacy on treatment of lumbarspinal stenonis. And compare the differences between the two groups. Methods: Collectand analyze my hospital orthopedic center`s case which using the Coflex and PLIF ontreatment of lumbar spinal stenosis from November2009to October2011. To Analyze ingeneral, VAS scores, ODI index, JOA scores, and imaging data. Results: To compare theage, gender composition, disease constitute and surgical segments of two groups have nosignificant differences. Coflex group length of surgery, blood loss, intraoperativetransfusion, length of postoperative discharged was significantly less than the PLIF group.The preoperative and last follow-up`s JOA, ODI and VAS of two groups were nosignificant difference. The ROM at last follow-up surgery of Coflex group are differentfrom the PLIF group. The upper adjacent ROM at last follow-up surgery of Coflex groupare different from the PLIF group. Conclusion:(1) The efficacy of Coflex group andPLIF group have no significant difference. But Coflex group`s length of surgery, bloodloss, intraoperative transfusion, length of postoperative discharged are less than the PLIFgroup.(2) The Coflex group are better able to retain the lumbar activity in the lastfollow-up.
