Objective:By randomized controlled clinical trials, I have objectively observed and evaluated clinical efficacy and safety of modified Xiaoyaosan combined with percutaneous radiofrequency ablation for treatment of primary liver cancer, while I have discussed the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine combined with percutaneous radiofrequency ablation for treatment of primary liver cancer, which provide effective treatment model for the clinical combination of Chinese medicine combined with Western to treat primary liver cancer.Methods:42cases selected were outpatient and hospital diagnosed patients from National TCM Clinical Liver Center of Hubei Province Chinese Medicine Hospital in September2010to December2011,which meet the clinical diagnostic criteria and Staging criteria for primary liver cancer and Stagnation and spleen deficiency card of TCM.42cases were randomly divided into The treatment group and control group, which each was21cases. The control group was treated by simple percutaneous radiofrequency ablation and given symptomatic and supportive treatment, while the treatment group by percutaneous radiofrequency ablation combined with the modified Xiaoyaosan. After8weeks of treatment, I had checked two groups of patients with solid tumor volume, liver function, and alpha-fetoprotein and I had observed TCM clinical symptoms, physical activity and self-care ability. Finally all the above had been statistically analysed. Results:Statistical analysis of clinical efficacy for treatment of primary liver cancer by the modified Xiaoyaosan combined with percutaneous RF ablation shows that in the aspect of controlling the solid tumor volume, stable rate for treatment group and control group is respectly84.6%and82%,which indicates that stable rate for treatment group is higher than stable rate for control group. But there is no significant difference (P>0.05) between the two groups. About the chang of liver function and AFP,there are significant differences (P<0.05) on TBIL, ALB, ALT, ALP,and AFP between the two groups after treatment. In the aspect of improving the clinical symptoms of the TCM, compared with before treatment, the total score of the two groups of Chinese medicine clinical symptoms are significant differences (P<0.05) after treatment, and the clinical symptoms of the TCM of the treatment group is significantly better than the control group (P<0.05).In improving physical activity and daily living, KPS score of the treatment group is better than the control group (P<0.05) after treatment. Conclusion:Modified Xiaoyaosan combined with percutaneous radiofrequency ablation for treatment of primary liver cancer has no significant effect in controlling the volume of solid tumors, but it can significantly improve liver function, which increase the metabolic capacity of the liver. It can significantly lower alpha-fetoprotein,which indicates that to some degrees the modified Xiaoyaosan can control tumor growth.Inthe meantime clinical symptoms has been alleviated, which improves the quality of life of patients, and the patients’ performance state has been improved, which is helpful to cultivate patients’ adherence to treatment. All the above provides favorable conditions for the follow-up treatment...
