Objective:Through to the results of a clinical trial of comparat ive analysi s, follow up, to observe the effects of Huangqi injection and reduced glutathione prevent oxaliplatin-induced neurotoxicity, discusses Chinese medicine control caused by oxaliplatin into neurotoxic is better than that of western medicine, providing the data prophylaxis and therapeutic measure with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in further research.Method:From January2009to January2012, in Huazhong university of science and technology PuAi affiliated hospital oncology, the selection of the pathology Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ period bowel cancer, to according with the standard of colorectal cancer patients into (a total of90patients, male45patients, female45cases) for clinical research. Will meet eligibility criteria of colorectal cancer patients were randomly divided into three groups:Huangqi group (give FOLFOX4chemotherapy for intravenous injection and give Huangqi injection); The GSH group (give FOLFOX4chemotherapy for intravenous injection and give reduced glutathione); The control group (simple to FOLFOX4chemotherapy scheme). Every time when chemotherapy, detailed record neurotoxicity, the diversity of KPS score pre-chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy, occur hemoglobin value change, will collect the data through the SPSS17.0analyzed with.Result:Treatment for6cycle, the control group general neurotoxicity incidence was74.44%, Huangqi group general neurotoxicity incidence was67.78%, and the GSH group general neuro-toxicity incidence was72.22%, The total incidence of neurotoxicity between the there group hadn’t shown statics difference (P>0.05). The control group, Huangqi group and the GSH group compared to neurotoxic degree,1-2degrees neurotoxicity incidence were83.58%,96.72%,90.77%,3-4degrees neurotoxicity incidence were16.42%,3.28%,9.23%, and the control group3-4degrees neurotoxicity incidence was significantly higher than the Huangqi group and the GSH group (P<0.05), indicating that the Huangqi group, the GSH group patients with1-2degrees neurotoxicity primarily, the control group patients with3-4neurotoxicity primarily. Different cycle neurotoxicity rate compared, in the first four cycles, three groups neurotoxicity incidence had no obvious difference (P>0.05), may be the reason is in the first four cycles drug use time still short, failed to up certain curative effect, or astragalus injection and reduced glutathione’s neurotoxic effect of acute are ineffectual. But in the sixth cycle Huangqi group began to appear statistical difference (P<0.05), indicating that Huangqi injection can alleviate peripheral neurotoxicity, especially chronic cumulative neurotoxicity. Three groups neurotoxicity incidence of different cycle chemotherapy comparison shows, as of oxaliplatin into dose gradually increasing, neurotoxicity strengthen gradually, and the Huangqi group had no significant correlation, indicating that Huangqi injection can delay chronic cumulative neurotoxicity occurs. Three groups curative effect compared, the total effective rate of the Huangqi group was86.67%, the total effective rate of the GSH group was50.00%, the total effective rate of the control group was46.67%, the Huangqi group and the GSH groups the control group are statistically signifi-cant (P<0.05), suggests that although CIPN has certain self-healing, but after Huangqi inject ion intervention curative effect is still much better than the control group, reduced glutathione had no obvious curative effect. Three groups of KPS score compared, the Huangqi group, the GSH group and the control group in compared have obvious difference (P<0.05), but the GSH group and the Huangqi group have no obvious difference (P>0.05), indicating that Huangqi injection and reduced glutathione all can improve the quality of life of the patients, but the effect of both have no significant differences. Three groups pre-chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy hemoglobin value compared, the Huangqi group and control group in hemoglobin level down is statistically significant (P<0.05), the GSH group and control group is no statistical difference (P>0.05), indicating that Huangqi injection have improved colorectal cancer chemotherapy-induced anemia role, and reduced glutathione no related functions.Conclusion:The oxaliplatin-induced neurotoxicity rate was high (three groups overall neurotoxicity rate as high as85.56%), should give enough attention. Huangqi injection has certain prevention and control the toxic effects of peripheral nerve caused by oxal iplatin, especially chronic cumulative neurotoxicity, can reduce the degree of neurotoxicity, delay chronic cumulative neurotoxicity occurs, improve the quality of life of the patients and improve colorectal cancer chemotherapy-induced anemia role, curative effect is better than reduced glutathione. It is convenient and safe to use Huangqi injection during chemotherapy, worth to spread in the clinical work. But this study’s case number is less, the results still need further clinical studies and a large sample of evidence-based medicine to confirm that.
