Abstraetive:To analysis the laboratory methods in detection of pathogen based on Vitreous humour and aqueous humour and its function on infectious endophthalmitis clinical diagnosisMethod:A retrospective case series clinical studies. From April2010to April2012,42eyes of41patients who were diagnosed infectious endophthalmitis were selected. We collected the patients’s Vitreous humour and aqueous humour. The patients’s samples were sent to smear and culture. The patients’s vitreous humour were sent to pathological examination. We analysis differents rates of the3methods and discuss the significance of the3methods on laboratory diagnosis of infectious endophthalmitisResults:Among the42samples, We can see the silk of fungus in4cases (9.52%) based on detection of smear. Positive Culture were6eyes in42cases (14.28%),4cases were bacterium, the other were fungi, including2cases of klebsiella pneumoniae,1case of Coagulase-negative Staphylococcus epidermis,1case of enterococcus,1case of candida albicans and1case of aspergillus. Positive vitreous humour pathological examination were12eyes(30.00%) of40cases including8eyes of fungal infection,4eyes of bacterial infection,2eyes of G+,2eyes of G-.Another16cases were aggregation of neutrophile granulocyte.Conclusions:1、Vitreous humour pathologic biopsy was higher sensitivity in detection pathogen of infectious endophthalmitis than smear and culture, but it can not confirm the tye of pathogen2、Positive rate of smear and culture was low in detection pathogen of infectious endophthalmitis, but smear can quickly find the fungus and culture can confirm what type of the pathogen, Culture can also detect the antibiotic sensitivity,Culture was still a main method in diagnosis of infectious endophthalmitis...
