Objective:To observe the effect and the safety of shexiang-sihuang decoction on thephlegm–Heat Accumulation of acute cerebral infarction and explore the mechanismof it.Methods: The study subjects were taken from the patients who admissed in theNeurology of WeiFang traditional medicine Hospital during the time from November2010to October2011.60cases with Phlegm-Heat Accumulation of Acute CerebralInfarction were randomly divided into the experimental group and the controlgroup. The control group was given conventional treatementer, while the experimentalgroup was given shexiang-sihuang decoction combined with conventionaltreatement. The clinical effects and the laboratory indicators of each groupe wereobserved. At the same time, closely observe the adverse reactions during the time oftaking medication. Observe the clinical efficacy and the changes of the laboratoryindicators of the two groups, while closely observe the adverse reactions during thetreatment. Results:the overall clinical effect and the effect of the Traditional Chinesemedicine syndrome of the experimental group is superior to the control group (P<0.05). the Neural function defect score and the chinese medicine symptom scores ofthe experimental group were significantly reduced, compared with the control group, there was significant difference (P<0.01). Hcy, hs-CRP, FIB and D-D of the twogroups were significantly reduced (P<0.01). The experimental group was superior tothe control group (P<0.05). There was no adverse reaction happened in the treatmentgroup, while in the control group the adverse reaction rate was6.67%. Conclusion:shexiang-sihuang decoction is safe and effective in treating the phlegm-Heat Accumulation of acute cerebral infarction, and valuable in the further research anddevelopment. The experimental group showed no adverse reactions during thetreatment.
