Objective: To evaluate the effect of closed Pilon fracture treatment with L-LCP.Provide the basis for clinical research. Methods: From September2010to October2011,25patients of closed Pilonfracture were treated surgical treatment with L-LCP by Shandong University of TCMAffiliated Hospital. There were14cases male and11cases female aging from37to69(mean54.3). There were9cases left and16cases right. According to theRüedi-Allg wer classification, there were4cases ofⅠ,12cases of Ⅱ,9cases of Ⅲ. Allthe patients were performed imaging examination and the soft tissue injury assessment, determined the timing of operation and then conducted operation. We should pay attentionto protecting the soft tissues intra-operative, and guide the patients to perform the systemrehabilitation training, Chinese medicine fumigation and take necessary measurespostoperative to prevent the occurrence of complications, and follow-up of patients with6-12months, an average of9months. Using Mazur’s ankle joint symptom and functionscore standards to evaluate the curative effect. Results: All the25cases in the12-19weeks were healed, an average of15.25weeks.Application the Mazur’s criterion, excellent in11, good in9, fair in3, and poor in2,excellent and good rates was80%. Delayed postoperative wound healing in2cases, skinnecrosis in1cases. All cases had no infection, no fracture shift, no limb shortening, nojoints surface collapse, no internal fixation loosening or fracture, no fracture malunion ornonunion. Conclusion: L-LCP can restore the function of ankle joint better, reducecomplications, is an ideal internal fixation of closed Pilon fracture. Choosing the rightoperation time, protecting the soft tissue intra-operative and exercising ankle function early postoperative can obtain satisfactory curative effect.
