Objective:To discuss the clinical effect of patients with Basilar migraine symptoms on attack stage treated by acupuncture cervical paravertebral point and its mechanism of actionMethod:78outpatients who met the inclusion standard were randomly divided into treatment group41cases and control group37cases. Patients in treatment group were treated by acupuncture of cervical paravertebral point combined with flunarizine, while the control group were only treated with flunarizine. After two courses of treatment, the clinical efficacy of the two groups will be evaluated accord-ing to migraine curative effect judgment standard in Guiding principle of clinical research on new drugs of Chinese medicine. Meanwhile, the mean flow velocity (VM) value of the basilar artery will be detected before and after treatment of the two groups.Result:1After observing the therapeutic efficacy of the two groups, the total efficiency of the treatment group is95.12%, while that of the control group is81.08%. By comparsion, the two groups differ notably in curative effect by stastical inspection(P<0.05).2Through observing the mean flow velocity (VM) of the lower level for basilar artery of two groups, the treatment group is superior than the control group and has stastical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion:1Acupuncture of cervical paravertebral point can obviously improve outpatients with basilar migraine symptom.2Acupuncture of cervical paravertebral point can significantly decrease the mean flow velocity (VM) value of the basilar artery.
