[Background] ASO is a systemic atherosclerotic disease performance in the lower extremity. single drug therapy can hardly do the deed, most patients require bypass operation or endovascular therapy.Because of thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia, the treated vessel is susceptible to occur restenosis which lead to the vascular patency rates is not ideal. Usually the patients need to operation again.[Methods] Data source:Cyclic search the paper in Pubmed database on internet during1995/01-2012/02which related to patency rate of vascular after Artificial blood vessel bypass surgery or interventional therapy, terms "Arteriosclerosis, patency rate, restenosis", restrict the language is English. Cyclic search the paper in China National Knowledge Infrastructure database during1995/01-2012/02which related to patency rate of vascular after Artificial blood vessel bypass surgery or interventional therapy, terms "Arteriosclerosis, patency rate, restenosis ", Restrict the language is Chinese, Look over the abstract and the quoted passage,remove the repeated research and the Meta-analyse paper,the rest are all related to the progress in influencing factors and countermeasure of vascular patency rate after operation. We collected195papers in all, including112English paper and85Chinese paper.50of them are selected.[Results] The patency rate of vascular in postoperative Patient with ASO is affected by many factors, such as the evolve of ASO,the Continuous stimulate of Artificial blood vessel and stent,thrombosis, intimal hyperplasia, and nonstandard medication.the origin reason of restenosis is the intimal injured by many other reasons, which cause thrombosis, intimal hyperplasia, and evolve of ASO. Many research have been done by scientists at home and abroad to reduce thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia, includes Medication for ASO, new material of Artificial blood vessels,drug coating vessels, Drug eluting stents and Biodegradable stent and so on. These research can reduce the thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia, but many of them are still imperfection, only basic research and animal experiment have been done, which lack of clinical application.[Conclusions] There are many methods to increase the patency rate of postoperative vascular:Reduce the risk factors of ASO,standard medication for ASO, use the drug coating vessels or endothelia coating vessels, use the DES or BDS for interventional therapy, but these methods all have its limitations, none of them can absolutely avoid the occurrence of restenosis. Only the Comprehensive treatment can increase the patency rate effectively. We believe that with the development of technology and the medical level,the problem will be perfectly solved.
