ObjectiveTo investigate the synthetic therapy effect and prognostic factors in114patients with breast cancer and explore the relationship between some clinical-pathological factors and prognosis.MethodsThe analysis of clinical-pathological materials was performed in114breast cancer cases who had synthetic therapy, including surgery, chemotherapy and endocrine therapy. The correlation of age, menopausal status, tumor size, local lymph node involvement, TNM stage, pathological type, hormone receptor status, Her-2status, treatment method with prognosis of breast cancer was evaluated.ResultBetween2004and2011,114patients with breast cancer in total who fit the eligibility criteria were identified and included in the analysis. The recurrence-free survival of the whole patients were93.0%. Analysis revealed that recurrence-free survival of this group was significantly associated with patient’s age (P<0,05). Menopausal status, local lymph node involvement, tumor size, TNM stage, pathological type, hormone receptor status, Her-2status, surgery, other therapy methods had no significant independent prognostic value(P>0.05).ConclusionOur data demonstrate that the prognosis in breast cancer is significant associated with patient’s age. Menopausal status and surgery are not significant factors of prognosis. More research is needed to prove if local lymph node involvement, tumor size, TNM stage, pathological type, hormone receptor status, Her-2status, other treatment methods is helpful.
