A CLINICAL ANALYSIS OF SYNTHETIC THERAPY EFFECT AND PROGNOSIS IN 121 PATIENTS WITH BREAST CANCERObjective To investigate the synthetic therapy effect and prognostic factors in 121 patients with breast cancer and explore the relationship between some clinical, pathological factors and prognosis. Methods The analysis of clinical, pathological materials was performed in 121 breast cancer cases who had synthetic therapy, including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and endocrine therapy. The correlation of age, menopausal status, tumor size, axillary lymph node involvement, TNM stage, vessel cancer embolus, cytology level, hormone receptor status, treatment method with prognosis of breast cancer was evaluated.Result Between 2005 and 2010,121 patients with breast cancer in total who fit the eligibility criteria were identified and included in the analysis. The 5-year over all survival and recurrence-free survival of the whole patients were 83.8% and 71.0%, respectively. Analysis revealed that 5-year overall survival of this group was significantly associated with tumor size, axillary lymph node involvement, TNM stage, cancer embolus of blood vessels and lymph vessels, cytology classification and endocrine therapy (P-values< 0.05). Patient'S age, menopause status, hormone receptor status, HER-2 status, chemotherapy project and radiotherapy had no significant independent prognostic value(P-values>0.05).Conclusion Our data demonstrate that tumor size, axillary lymph node involvement, TNM stage, cancer embolus of blood vessels and lymph vessels, cytology classification and endocrine therapy are significant independent indicators of prognosis in breast cancer respectively; and age, menopausal status, hormone receptor, HER-2 status, chemotherapy project, radiotherapy are not significant factors of prognosis.
