ObjectiveIn order to regulate the process of production, transportation, storage and use of chlorine,prevent the harm to workers, reduce the malignant accidents, we formulated <Guidelines forprotection against occupational chlorine>.Method1． Literature Consulting concern laws and regulations, and standards of domestic andoverseas, analyse concerning laws and regulations, and standards, systematic analysis hundredsof domestic and foreign chlorine occupational poisoning cases.2． Field Research Select representative enterprise: Hubei Chuyuan chemical industryincorporated company and Hubei Yihua chemical industry incorporated company, take fieldinvestigation and field labor hygienic survey to them, and through with security professionalsand chlorine work personnel for discussion and field survey, realize the main reasons ofpoisoning and preventive measures.Result1．Through the literature, we find that while there were many information of chlorine, but theywere one-sided, some of them has cross and are not complete, can not provide protectionregulations by the numbers for the whole the industry in chlorine.2．Through the investigation and research, we found that there were still exist some problems:(1) the filling liquid chlorine rust phenomenon;(2) simple and crude washing eyes equipment,position was not reasonable,(3) personal protective equipment was not correspond withstandard, position is not reasonable;(4) the liquid chlorine tank put do not accord withstandard;(5) there was not complete emergency standard.3．According to relate laws and regulations, standards and literature and the site investigationresults formulated <Guidelines for protection against occupational chlorine>.ConclusionThrough formulated <Guidelines for protection against occupational chlorine>, coordinateprevention and control measures in occupational activities, improve the ability of accidentprevention and cope with chlorine gas leak in daily production and use of chlorine enterprise,take evidence to Health, Safety Supervision and Fire Departments to daily management and lawenforcement. At the same time, provide the reference standard for health emergency rescue ofmedical equipment and personnel action requests.
