Study Of Social Work Interventing Medical Disputes

In recent years, with the further development of reform and opening-up, Our society is in the important period of transition and various social conflicts highlights. As one of the various social conflicts, the events such as impacting hospital, interfering with normal order of the hospital or even killing medical staff caused by medical disputes are on the increase year by year. highly stressful doctor-patient relationship causes widespread concern of the society. Because identification of medical liability is a well-known problem, coupled with the current relevant laws and regulations are not perfect and the social public opinion direction, it causes great distress for the hospital to resolve medical disputes,make both sides of doctors and patients in an awkward situation.How to alleviate the contradictions of doctor-patient relationship is urgent. As medical social work in China has just started, the research on medical dispute is scanty. For this purpose, the author makes full use of the existing administrative and social resource, trying to make exploration on professional social work method in the mediation of medical dispute and use the perspective of social work to deal with medical dispute disposal. In the course of the study, the author uses the local A hospitals as the research sample. In the hospital social worker’s joint effort, through literature collection, participant observation, in-depth interviews and other methods, collected a number of medical dispute cases to obtain reliable first-hand data,so as to analyze the cause medical disputes in macro and micro aspects, characteristics and the effect of disposal way. And directly involved in medical disputes through the integrated use of casework, group work, community work methods use, counsel patients and their families emotion, give medical staff psychological support, impartially and reasonably assist both doctors and patients to dispose of medical disputes, and actively use social forces to fight for resources to help patients and their families who are in need of help, so that patients and their families return to normal. Generally speaking, the study has certain development and practice of social work intervention, obtained certain result, but also obviously insufficient, therefore the author for this research put forward the related proposals, look forward to the future there are more people in the medical industry to promote the localization development of social work.
