Explortion Of Aduil Acute Appendicitis Early Scoring Of Applications

ObjectiveTo help the adults who got acute appendicitis choose a suitable treatmentby scoring their early symptoms of acute appendicitis.MethodsAnalysing clinical data of patients who got acute appendicitis fromJune,2009to May,2011in our hospital by selecting7related standards likeage, temperature, etc. Then, according to APACHE II scoring system, anew scoring system would be established. Meanwhile,the scoring systemwas applied to respectively scoring the conservative treatment group andthe surgical treatment group. Those points were analyzed by statisticalmethods.ResultsThe scoring system was applicated to conservative treatment andsurgical treatment every patients from June,2009to April,2011and gotthat conservative treatment group was average of6.52±2.344points,whilesurgical treatment group was8.87±3.183points in which the score wassignificant higher than that in conservative treatment(P＜0.0001).Conclusion Those adults whose earlier scores of acute appendicitis are less than orequal to7points can choose conservative treatment. Meanwhile, they alsoneed to be observed and when necessary we will do the operations; thosewhose scores are between7to9points, they can choose conservative orsurgical treatment according to their desires; those whose scores surpass9points are advised to choose surgical treatment. The scoring systemestablished in this study and the score scored with this study could behelpful for the choice of treatment of acute appendicitis in adult,but need tobe inspected by prospective study and further improved.
