The view of sexual masturbation is extremely negative in china, the effects ofthis negative view even more than masturbation. The soldiers in adolescence hasmature physiological, sexual awareness and sexual demands, has been able toexperience strong sexual impulses. However, the military has a strict discipline andsingle gender roles, in addition to most of the young officers and soldiers can notreceived sex education and sexual behavior guidance from the formal channels, somany young officers and soldiers hold unhealthy and immoral psychological in thesexual masturbation, the anxiety from sexual masturbation,that impact on their mentalhealth and social interaction. So some young officers and soldiers used theunconventional methods such as asphyxia to masturbation, that will lead to veryserious consequences.Objective:To investigate the current status of young male soldiers in sexualmasturbation and mental health. To explore the relationship between masturbationcognitive bias and Mental Health.Methods: To investigate the current status of young male soldiers in sexualattitudes,the sexual knowledge, sexual behavior and attitude of love and marriage bythe Chinese soldiers healthy level questionnaire. Design sexual masturbation attitudescale and verify reliability and validity strictly to assessment the current situation ofsoldiers in masturbation.while to explore the relationship between masturbation andMental Health by Symptom Rating Scale (SCL-90). Young unmarried men wereforced in this study. Qne-on-one or anonymous conversation in group were used toinvestigate in the study, for the content of investigation involved the privacy of thesoldiers. The research data using SPSS17.0statisticalResults:1. To take25%high score segmentation and25%low score segmentof sexual masturbation attitude scale respectively,the SCL-90total score werecompared in the two group,the results show total score [(128.43±39.40) vs.(108.29±16.09); t=-2.17, P=0.039], factor3(interpersonal sensitivity factor)[(1.54±0.53) vs.(1.22±0.19); t=-2.616, P=0.015], factor4(depression factor)[(1.49±0.48) vs(1.19±0.22); t=-2.567, P=0.016], factor6(hostility factor)[(1.52±0.64) vs.(1.18±0.26); t=-2.218P=0.035] in high score group were significant higher than highscore group.2,SCL-90total score and sexual masturbation attitude scale total score (p＜0.05,r=0.218), health factors score(p＜0.05,r=0.218),moral factor score (p＜0.01,r=0.291)were significant correlation. Factor3(interpersonal sensitivity) andsexual masturbation attitude scale total score (p＜0.01,r=0.286), health factorsscore(p＜0.05,r=0.257),moral factor score (p＜0.01,r=0.311)were significantcorrelation tooconclusion: The higher score of sexual masturbation Attitude Scale the youngmale soldiers have, whose mental health are more worse, particularly in interpersonalsensitivity, depression, hostility, mainly.
