The Theoretical Study On Abdominal Mass Syndrome In Huangdi Neijing

Huangdi Neijing is the earliest extant medical canon in China, establishing a unique theoretical system for TCM and laying a solid foundation for the theoretical and clinical development of TCM. The discussions on the basic concept, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical feature, diagnosis, and treatment principle about abdominal mass syndrome can be found from several chapters in Huangdi Neijing.Literature theory research method is adopted to systematically arrange, classify,analyze and discuss the related theories about abdominal mass syndrome in Huangdi Neijing. Meanwhile, the ancient and modern doctors’ recordations are involved and clinical experience summarized with the purpose to provide reference for the syndrome differentiation and treatment of present-day diseases which belong to abdominal mass syndrome in Huangdi Neijing and to carry forward our traditional medicine in a better way.Full text is divided into three parts,1.the first part is the theoretical study on abdominal mass syndrome in Huangdi Neijing. Collecting and analyzing the appropriate articles from Huangdi Neijing, generalizing and summarizing from the views of concept, etiology, pathogenesis, categorization, clinical feature, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis, the theories are made to be systematized and organized.2.the second part is the recordation of abdominal mass syndrome by ancient and modern doctors. This part reviewed the historical evolution, pathogeny of abdominal mass syndrome and discussion of the past dynastic doctors which were recorded in the ancient medical books and modern works.3.the third part is the clinical applications study on abdominal mass syndrome in Huangdi Neijing. As is known, some present-day diseases including the critical ones like tumour, cancer, etc. can be lumped together into a category of Huangdi Neijing abdominal mass syndrome. This part takes some relative diseases as representatives to carry on the study about the correlation by the way of documentary summarizing. According to the medical correlation, more effective therapeutic methods and wider treatment thoughts are expected to excavate from the theoretical study on abdominal mass syndrome in Huangdi Neijing.
