Objective:To Investigate the clinical features of primary central nervoussystem lymphoma (including symptoms, signs, imaging features, pathologicaltype, etc.), diagnosis and prognosis, and increase the recognition of PCNSL inclinic and the diagnostic rate. Methods: Collection of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi MedicalUniversity from January2000to December2011pathologically confirmedcases of primary central nervous system lymphoma in patients with clinical dataand follow-up data, retrospective analysis of primary central nervous systemlymphoma in a variety of clinical features and survival prognosis. Results: Collection of47cases of PCNSL,39male and8female, aged20-74years old, with a median age of51years old. In47cases of PCNSL,10cases aged more than60years old,37cases less than60years old (including60 years old),Single-locus lesion was found25cases and multiple of22cases,32cases located at supratentorial brain and7cases of infratentorial brain,5caseslocated at supratentorial and infratentorial brain. Preoperative diagnosis for2cases of multiple sclerosis, cerebral infarction in5cases,3cases of encephalitis, brain parasites in1case, considering space-occupying lesions in36cases. TheKaplan-Meier analysis showed that survival time was from0.3months to128.8months and the median survival time was26.8months,3-year survival rate was37.7%. gender, age, tumor number (single and multiple), tumor location(supratentorial, infratentorial, infratentorial and supratentorial)、course of diseasewith the prognosis of no statistical significance(P>0.05);whether treatment(surgery alone、comprehensive treatment) and prognosis was statisticallysignificant (P <0.05).Conclusion: PCNSL clinical manifestations of diversity. primary centralnervous system lymphoma has certain characteristic, the current diagnosis relyon pathological examination. The treatment is an important factor affecting theprognosis.
