Objective: To investigate the correlation of the level of plasmaFg and ABCD2score of patients with the anterior circulation transientischemic attacks (TIAs).Method: One hundred and thirty-three patients who are inaccord with our inclusive criteria were retrospectively analyzed. Afterstratifying according to ABCD2score system and test the patients’plasma Fg level within24hours, we depict the relationship between meanplasma Fg level and the tendency of ABCD2score through a diagram, compare mean plasma Fg level among different risk groups and thenconduct subgroup analysis. Results: In our investigation, we get the results as follows:(1)There are significant differences between the patients group and controlgroup in the mean plasma Fg level and the ratio of the higher plasma Fglevel(P<0.001for all);(2) In the whole, as the ABCD2score increases, the score6group is the highest; while the plasma Fg level of score7 group is lower than that of score6group;(3)There are significantdifferences among3groups(P<0.001), the mean plasma Fg level of highrisk group is higher than that of low and mid risk groups, and the meanplasma Fg level of mid risk group is higher than that of low riskgroup(P<0.05for all);(4) In our investigation, the plasma Fg level ispositively related to the ABCD2score(r=0.548,P<0.001);(5) The meanplasma Fg level of score4-7group is higher than that of score0-3group(P<0.001);(6) The mean plasma Fg levels are higher in the patientswith the age of more than60, the symptom lasting more than10minutesand the history of diabetes(P≤0.004for all). Conclusion: The plasma Fg level of the TIA patients is higher, especially when the ABCD2score is higher than4; the plasma Fg level ofthe TIA patients is positively correlated to ABCD2score; the plasma Fglevel is higher when the patient is more than60, or the patient’s symptomlasts more than10minutes, or the patient is with the history of diabetes;the result suggests us that combining plasma Fg level and ABCD2scoreis a good way to evaluate the prognosis of TIA and predict the risk.
