Objective: Research and discussion involving the articular surface of distal radiusfractures for reduction and fixed with plaster reset in healing time, the efficacy of wristfunction assessment and patient satisfaction, the existence of significant difference. Methods: Since2008January to2011July, choosed60examples about involving thedistal radius articular surface, divided into by the treatment group of the gypsum repositionof the external fixation. According to the grade system of the Gartland and Werley’s wristjoint can conduct the comprehensive score and can assess to the function of the wrist joint, compare with the group of external fixation and of internal fixation in the clinic of thehealing time, the rate of choiceness and the rate of patient’s satisfaction, the difference ofstatistics that can exist or not. Results: All of these groups of disease obtained the visits, average of the visit times were7.2monthes. In the clinic of the healing time, the group ofgypsum reposition of the external fixation was less than of the incision reposition of theinternal fixation. All of the patients conducted by grade system of the Gartland and Werley. There was an obvious difference between the rate of choiceness in two group(P<0.05),forthe group of the rate of choiceness was65.3%;but for group of was88.2%, the incisionreposition of the internal fixation was better than the gypsum reposition of the externalfixation. Conclusion: For about surface joint of the distal radial transarticular surfacefracture, in statistics there is an obvious difference between curative effect the incisionreposition of the internal fixation and the gypsum reposition of the external fixation, andpatients’ satisfaction degree.
