Objective: To discuss the classification of pediatric tumor in sacrococcygeal regionfind better way for operation. Methods: A collection of14cases of pediatric tumor insacrococcygeal region grouped with Altman Classification. performed MRI sagittal ahorizontal axis and a checkand checked for supine position. On the basis of AltmanClassification we added a “十”in vertical plane, divided into A B C D four part. TypeAltmanⅠ、Ⅱmostly in the region B、C. Type AltmanⅢmostly in the region A、B、D, TypeAltmanⅣ in the region A、B. All the confirmed by pathology, and no postoperativechemotherapy to put other comprehensive treatment. Results: In this14cases withinfollow up1-3years,12cases with complete excision, among them2cases with recurrence,1case had second operation, the other died with no operation. Two cases can no getcomplete excision, one died with lung metastasis, the other died with infection due torefuse for treatment. Conclusion: With our “十”classification add to AltmanClassification, again complementary with sacrococcygeal region horizontal axis a MRIclear tumor invasion and normal tissue degree and range, we can have a betterunderstanding of pediatric tumor in sacrococcygeal region, that can lead to better result forthis kind of tumor.
