Objective:.①In this study, by Obscure gastrointestinal bleeding in patients withcapsule endoscopy (CE) test results were analyzed to explore the CE lesion detection rate, diagnosis rate, to explore its diagnostic performance, promote the application of the CEfoundation;②The analysis of CE indetection rate of lesions in patients of different ages, diagnosis rates, and summarizes the characteristics of lesions in patients of different ages, and provide a theoretical basis for clinical practice. Methods: December2006to February2010, collected in a hospital in Xinjiang,163cases of patients with Obscuregastrointestinal bleeding, capsule endoscopy patients met the inclusion criteria, collectingpatient information, CE findings, whether the surgery pathological examination results tocalculate the detection rate, diagnosis rate, and analysis of lesion characteristics.Results:①163patients,161patients successfully check the failure of two cases (youth group1cases, middle-aged group, n=1), of which89cases were detected in lesions, the lesiondetection rate of55.28%(89/161), the diagnosis rate83.23%(134/161);②diagnosticcharacteristics of different ages: the elderly group,35cases of detected lesions, thedetection rate of76.08%(35/46); middle-aged group,36cases of detected lesions, thedetection rate of47.37%(36/76), the youth group a total of18cases detected lesions, thedetection rate of39.13%(18/46), elderly patients with high detection rate in the youthgroup, middle-aged group, the difference was statistically significant (χ2=14.362, P=0.001); different age group patients detected in the distribution of lesion types, thedifference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Youth group to the main tumor, accounting for50%(9/18); middle-aged group ulcers, vascular malformations, accountingfor25%(9/36); older group of vascular malformations, accounting for37.14%(13/35).③The diagnostic characteristics of different ethnic groups: Han129cases, including75cases of detected lesions, the detection rate of58.14%(75/129), the diagnostic rate of81.40%(105/129); minority32cases,14cases detected lesions, the detection rate of43.75%(14/32), the diagnostic rate of90.63%(29/32), the Han and minorities, thedetection rate and diagnostic rate difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05); detection of lesion type distribution the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), each group of patients with vascular malformations higher tumor detection rate; twogroups were detected in lesions of the differences not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion: Capsule endoscopy for obscure gastrointestinal bleeding have a higherdiagnostic value, is safe, reliable means of checking. Statistically significant differences indetection rates and diagnostic rates in all age groups, prompted CE have a better detectionrate of the older group of patients with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding.
