Objective: By dynamic monitoring and quantitative analysis to subgingivalmicrobial flora, the effect of main subgingival microbial flora was discovered frommicrobial bacteriology aspect, before and after the bone graft in combination withsplint-like PFM bridge treatment on conserving loosened distal teeth of Kennedy Ⅲdentition defect. Methods:20patients with the loosened distal abutment of KennedyⅢdentition defect were selected and divided into2groups.10patients were treated bybone graft in combination with splint-like PFM bridge. While the other10patients weretreated by splint-like PFM bridge alone in the control group. All the patients werefollowed up6months. Periodontal clinical index was measured. Before and afterconserving loosened distal teeth, the fluid of gingival sulous were collected and culturedduring24hours,3months and6months. The results were identified by colonycharacteristics and biochemical tests.4subgingival microbial flora were detected byPCR.Results:1.the colonycount of the treatment group and the control group were analy-zed brepeated measures of variance. The results were not statistically significant. The col-ony count of the control group, within group difference were statistically significant.PCRwere used to test those4subgingival microbial flora. The colony count of the treatmentgroup and the control group werenot statistically significant.2.Compared with PD and CAL,the results were not statistically significant. It was showed that before and after the bone graft in combination with splint-like PFM bridge treatment, the basement was same. The results of PD and CAL were reduced in the treatment group after3and6month.The results of PD and CAL were not statistically significant inthe control group,X-ray showedthat all cases based on alveolar bone absorption with continuing, and the alveolarbone oftreatment were increased with certain degree.Conclusion:1.Compared with splint-like PFM bridge alone, the subgingival microbial flora of patients treated with bone graft in c ombination with splint-like PFM bridge were declined obviously.2.Compared with bacterial analysis between treatment group andcontrol group, we found thatbonegraft in combination with splint-like PFM bridge could promote the restruction ofperiodontal tissue of loosened distal teeth.
