aphasia is a common complication of stroke. The incidence is about38%in stroke. It seriously affect the patients quality of life, so domestic andforeign scholars in recent years more and more focus on the research. Lateralfissure aphasia is a common clinical type of aphasia, and such patients withpoor prognosis. there is no precise and effective drug for stroke-causedaphasia at Home and abroad. Early intensive medical intervention andrehabilitation training is very important to improve the quality of life of patients. In recent years, It has been reported that the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA)receptor antagonist have some therapeutic value for those patiens. Medicationat home and abroad is in the experimental stage, and efficacy need to verify.Foreign individual experiments show that memantine is useful for post-strokeaphasia. There are still no reports on the experimental study of memantine inthe treatment of post-stroke aphasia. Objective: This study is to investigate the efficacy of memantine on Lateralfissure aphasia after stroke on the early stage,to learn more about the efficacy ofthe drug on post-stroke aphasia.Methods:24PSA patients with Lateral fissure aphasia after stroke wererandomly divided into two groups: Treatment group and blank control group(n=12for each).Treatment group received oral administration ofmemantine to12week,and the efficacy was evaluated by CRRCAE,For4weeks,8weeks and12weeks of observation points Before treatment and after treatment. Compare the difference in aphasia score(total score and each sub-score) within group and between groups before and after treatment.Results:1.Treatment group compared with before treatment at eachobservation point, In the treatment of4weeks,8weeks,12weeks after. Totalscore was significant difference (p <0.05).2. For4weeks,8weeks,12weeksafter, between the treatment group and blank control group, total score wassignificant difference (p <0.05).3. The two groups of patients with the scoreshave improved to a certain extent, Which naming is the most obvious, understanding, and repeating followed by, spontaneous language recovery isrelatively poor.Conclusion:1.Memantine is helpful for improving every aspects of speechfunction in patients with Lateral fissure aphasia after stroke.2. In this study,we have not found that treatment group had a significant adverse event occurs, and therefore the treatment of post-stroke aphasia is not only effective but alsosafer.
