ObjectiveTo detect the expression of CD146acted as marker of stem cells in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of adenomyosis and normal endometriu for exploring the role of stem cells in the pathogenesis of adenomyosis. To detect the expression of CD146acted as marker of microvessels for exploring the role of microvessels in adenomyosis. So as to provide some direction for finding the cause of adenomyosis.MethodsThe expression of CD146and ER was detected by SP immunohisto-chemistry in patients with adenomyosis and normal endometrium. The statistical analysis used SPSS13.0software. The correlation between CD146and ER used Spearman rank.Results1.The expression of CD146in different parts of the endometrial tissue:1.1CD146expression-positive cells are mainly located in the endothelial cells of capillaries, small veins or arteries, some in the perivascular cells, a few in the stromal cells. It was expressed in the basal layer and the functional layer of the endometrium.1.2The positive expression of CD146in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of Adenomyosis, in the normal endometrium were30.6%,63.9%and47.2%. The difference was statistically significance (P <0.05).1.3CD146-MVD were51.56±17.73,42.39±13.84and33.43±11.01in ectopic endometrium, eutopic endometrium of adenomyosis and normal endometrium. The difference was statistically significance(P <0.05). The secretive phase was higher than the proliferative phase among the three groups, but the difference in normal endometrium was not statistically significance (P>0.05).2.The positive expression of ER were66.7%,50.0%and33.3%in ectopic and eutopic endometrium of AM and normal endometrial stromal cells. The difference was statistically significance (P<0.05).3.The positive rate of CD146and ER was a positive correlation in the normal endometrium and eutopic endometrium, but it was negative correlation ectopic endometrium.Conclusion(1) The stem cells markered by CD146may be involved in the occurrence of adenomyosis.(2) CD146-MVD play an possible role the pathogenesis of adenomyosis.
