| ObjectiveTo explore the value of1H-MRS in gliomas grading and discrimination with meningiomas.Materials and Methods47cases of brain tumors after surgery and verified by pathology diagnosis were collected in the Affiliated Heping Hospital of Changzhi Medical College, male26, female21, average age,49.3years old. According to WHO standards, the cases were divided into high-grade gliomas group,17cases, low-grade gliomas group,12cases, meningiomas group,18cases. Before surgery, all patients were undergone plain MRI scan, enhanced scan and multi-voxel1H-MRS imaging using superconducting whole-body MRI scanner (SIEMENS). The metabolite concentrations of brain tumors, NAA/Cr, Cho/NAA, Cho/Cr were detected and the metabolite ratios between the3groups were compared.Results1. The difference of Cho/NAA, Cho/Cr and NAA/Cr between the high-grade and low-grade gliomas groups was significant (P<0.05), the difference of Cho/NAA, Cho/Cr and NAA/Cr between the peripheral region of two groups was significant (P<0.05).2. The difference of Cho/NAA and Cho/Cr between the high-grade glioma group and meningioma group was significant (P<0.05). The difference of Cho/NAA, Cho/Cr and NAA/Cr ratios between the low-grade glioma group and the meningioma group were significant (P<0.05).Conclusion1. Metabolite products changes between different grades of gliomas and between gliomas and meningiomas were different.2.1H-MRS is a useful method in gliomas grading and the discrimination with meningiomas. |
