Nei Ke Zhai Yao (Summaries of The Internal Medicine) written by Xue Jiis a veritable experience summary of clinical treatment for the internalillness which distinctly reflects Xue’s characteristics of treatingmiscellaneous diseases. The author of thesis analyzes this Chinese medicinework from the following aspects---etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, therapy,prescriptions and discusses Xue’s academic thoughts and clinical featuresof treating internal diseases.In this study, the systematic analysis of medical science principles,treatment methods, prescriptions and drugs is carried out by the method oftraditional documentation science. And combined with data mining technologythe author sums up Xue Ji’s academic thoughts and clinical features.Through this research, the author got the following result: a total of246medical records are included in this book. All the medical records havethe advantages of prominent clinical thinking, clear etiology andpathogenesis and reliable records. But they also have the disadvantages ofpoor standardization, less tongue inspection and lack of drug dose. Xueattaches importance to the pulse diagnosis among four methods of diagnosis,and prioritizes differentiation of syndromes in accordance with the theoryof Zang-fu organs. He takes deficiency of spleen and stomach, deficiency ofspleen and kidney, or the kidney deficiency as the primarily pathogenesis.In prescription, Buzhongyiqi decoction is commonly used to nourish the spleenand stomach and invigorate primordial qi, Liuwei Dihuang pills and Baweiwanare used to nourish kidney yin and kidney yang, what’s more, Buzhongyiqi decoction merged with Liuwei Dihuang pills and Baweiwan can invigorate boththe spleen and the kidney. This article makes a systematic study of the medicalrecords in Nei Ke Zhai Yao(Summaries of The Internal Medicine) and exploresXue’s clinical features of treating internal diseases.It will providevaluable reference for the modern medical diagnosis and treatment of theinternal diseases.
