Objective: Observe the clinical curative effect of locking proximal humerus plate(LPHP) treating Neer type II and type III proximal humeral fractures. Methods: Collect proximal humeral fractures of 40 cases,LPHP group of 20 patients and ordinary groups of 20, including male 20 cases and femal 19 cases, with an average age of 57.6 years (22 to 78 years).According to Constant-Murley absolute score, the clinical effect is retrospectively analyzed by comparing locked proximal humeral plate (LPHP)group and other conventional surgical method (ordinary group) of proximal humeral fractures.Constant-Murley absolute value evaluation method as follows: full marks for 100 points, activities range 40 points, the main activities and daily life 20 points, deltoid muscle strength 25 points, 10 points postoperative pain.Above 90 points total score for optimal after operation, 80 to 89 for good, 70 to 79 divided into middle, and below 70 for poor. The rate of optimal, good and middle are summed for satisfaction. Results: All 40 patients by follow-up of Constant-Murley absolute value score, the clinical effect of locking plate treatment group (the LPHP group) is clearly superior to ordinary surgical method group (ordinary group )(P < 0.05).The LPHP group's satisfaction rate is 90%.Conclusions: Locked proximal humeral plate for complex and pulverizing proximal humeral fractures is a good internal fixation, After open operation and LPHP treatment the early functional exercise is the key to curative effect.
