Electron Flexible Cystourethroscope Combined With Fascia Dilator To Treat The Simple Urethral Stricture

Objective:To investigate the safety and efficacy of the application of electron flexible cystourethroscope combined with fascia dilator to treat the simple urethral strictureMethods:80cases with simple urethral stricture by different causes which were all confirmed by physical examination and radiology underwent urethral dilation with electron flexible cystourethroscope combined with fascia dilator performed by one single surgeon from October2008to October2010in our center. We retrospectively analyzed the outcomes in accordance with strictural pattern, catheterization duration time and prognosis. Results:78procedures were performed successfully without serious complications. The median time was9min (7to12min) with64patients still in the follow-up (4-10months). And8patients in the end underwent the photoselective vaporization of urethral stricture due to stubborn restenosis and personal delay of treatment.
