Objective:To investigate the EEG changes in Temporomandibular disorders patients treated by occlusal pad. Methods:Five cases were chosen from the patients whose final diagnosis was TMD in stomatology hospital of Shandong province. The cases were given occlusal pad treatment. Then the cases were measured and analysed by electromyograph and electroencephalograph.Result.(1) after treatment in5patients,1cases were cured,4cases improved, the total efficiency is100%. The Fricton index decreased obviously.(2) Compared to pre-treatment, the value of patient’s CMI decreased obviously. The value of patient’s ICP increased obviously.(3) Compared to pre-treatment,in patients with closed eyes, EEG wave increased.(4) Compared to pre-treatment, the value of patient’s MMPI decreased. Conclusion:After the treatment of Occlusal pad, temporomandibular disorders patients’ EEG and EMG improved.
