BACKGROUND:Previous studies demonstrated that,Tendinopathyis a common disease, but there were no specific treatments. Low-frequencypulsed ultrasound which was widely used in therapy of chronic soft tissueinjuries may provide a candidate way for the treatment of tendinopathy. Toestablish a rat model of tendinopathy and observe the therapeutic effects ofLow-frequency pulsed ultrasound.MATERIALS AND METHODS:60rats were divided into2groups,control group(10rats)and experimental group(50rats)whichwere receivedelectric stimulus for8weeks to make the rats feel pain and jump up.30ratsthat developed tendinopathy were randomly divided into three groups:10rats(Group A)were treated with low frequency ultrasound,10rats(GroupB) were injected corticosteroids, the result rats(Group C) received notreatments. The numbers and height of jump were recorded during theelectric stimulus and four weeks after intervention, hematoxylin-eosinstaining, sirius-red staining and Tunnel staining were used to observe thepathological change. RESULTS:Jumpingabilityof the rats were enhanced inthe first threeweeks and weakened in the rest of the time. The Achilles of Group A hadobviously recovery after therapy,Group B and Group C had no obviouslychanges. The apoptotic cells in group A were significantly decreasedcompared with that in the other two groups.CONCLUSION:It is suggested that Low-frequencypulsed ultrasoundhad a serviceable effects on the model of tendinopathy in rats...
