Objective: To understand the willing to participate in microbicide clinicaltrials and influence factors among female high risk groups, and providetheoretical support for the clinical trials in the future. Methods:Design method:Cross-sectional design was used to investigate femalehigh risk groups, who included female sex workers and negative partners ofmale HIV infected.Sampling method: Using the method of Non-probability sampling, including convenient sampling, encounter sampling and so on.Analysis method:1.Original variables were used for univariate and multiple logisticregression analysis.2.Exploratory factor analysis was used to obtain common factors, andthen score of the common factors were used for logistic regression analysis.Results:553participants were eligible to the inclusion criteria,and80.47% of them were willing to participate in microbicide clinical trials.1.The logistic regression analysis with original variables: Selectedseven influence factors of willing to participate in microbicide clinicaltrials, including “Whether HIV influence to yourself”,“Whether participatein the evaluation will have problems”,“Whether spouse support you to theevaluate”,“Willing to contribute to promote the health of the women”,“Toobtain the protection of the drug”,“Worrying about be thought have beeninfected with AIDS”and “Worrying about others would not to go with you”.2. Evaluation of multiple logistic regression model: The originalvariables fitting logistic regression model is not ideal.(1)Several importantinformation of the univariate analysis were not brought into the multiplelogistic regression.(2) The model was instability, no matter increased ordecreased one of the indexes would cause variable selection of the modelchange a lot.3. Diagnosis of multicollinearity: Diagnose multicollinearity for theoriginal variables. The results indicated that there were seriousmulticollinearity among variables.4. Method of factor analysis combined with logistic regressionanalysis:Exploratory factor analysis was used to obtain5common factorswhich influence the willing to participate in microbicide clinical trials, theywere " clinical trials compensation factor","social benefit factor","socialdiscrimination factor"," physical damage factor" and " clinical trials loss factor".The score of common factors and "crowd group" for theindependent variable fitting logistic regression showed that "the socialbenefit factor","social discrimination factor"," physical damage factor","clinical trials loss " and "crowd group" were influence factors of willing toparticipate in microbicide clinical trials."Social interest factor" promoted it,while other three factors obstructed it. The index" crowd group"showedthat willing to participate in microbicide clinical trials in negative partnersof male HIV infected was higher then that in female sex workers. Conclusion: The research select five influence factors via the factoranalysis combined with logistic regression and provide theoretical supportfor the clinical trials in the future. We should pay attention to the followingaspects in the recruitment for clinical trials:1.We should strengthen to the health education for the targetpopulation and increase the AIDS related knowledge of them。2. Make sure that informed consent of clinical trials in targetpopulation. And we should provide comprehensive and detailedmicrobicides information for them, and emphasize that we will take certainsecurity measures strictly to avoid the physical damage caused by theclinical trials.3. We should protect the privacy of the target population strictly in theclinical trials. At the same time we need to advocate the public attention inHIV/AIDS problem, and strengthen to the AIDS knowledge of publicity to social groups in the future, make public build the right concept of AIDS,and reduce discrimination of them to high-risk groups.
