Conventional cytology (conventional smear, CS) examinationbecause of its convenient, production is simple, has been widely used intumor laboratory examinations, but due to the specimen quality, productionstaining level differences, reading experience uneven and many othereffects, caused by conventional cytology diagnosis sensitivity, the rate isrelatively low.The specimens are usually not well preserved, increased cellshape change, referral when repeated sampling, increased costs.Thetechnique of liquid-based cytology test is the best productiontechnology in current methods of exfoliated cells check,it cansignificantly improve the effectiveness of diagnosis about neoplasms ofexfoliated cells. At the same time can be well preserved specimens, furtherconsultation with a doctor, after liquid based cytology processing slide canbe performed simultaneously in immunohistochemistry and PCRbiochemical examination.Currently, it has mainly been applying the tests ofthe body cavity effusion、cervical cells exfoliated、urine sputum、fine amirror needle biopsy and demonstrate the rectum exfoliated cellscheck.however, there is few literature report about its application in lungcancer.Which in cervical epithelial carcinogenesis screening for mostapplications, has been shown to be superior to conventional cytologysmear. This article mainly through the comparison of liquid-based cytologyand conventional smear technique in sputum, pleural effusion, pulmonaryoccupying lesions, bronchoscopic brushing puncture, bronchoalveolarlavage fluid in the application, and forecast, promotion of liquid cytology technology, with lung cancer laboratory diagnostic technology, make a lotof technology application, improve the rate of diagnosis of lung cancer, andearly treatment.
