Objective:To explore the distribution of ABO blood group and the clinical features of thepatients with gastric cancer(GC).Methods:Inpatient medical records of four hundred cases of the patients with GC werechoosed and put into statistical analysis of ABO blood group. To compare thedistribution of ABO blood group of the patients in the front and back five years andanalyse the clinical data of the patients in the late five years included the generalconditions, clinical manifestation, pathological features, auxiliary examination, staging, treat-ment and so on.Results:Compared with the prior five years, the detectablerate of A blood group wasgreatly decreased in the recent five years (41.5%and23.5%, P<0.01), but thedetectablerate of O blood group was obviously increased in the recent five years(27.5%and42.5%, P<0.01), the discrepancy of B blood group and AB blood groupwere not statistically significant (P>0.05). Then the recent five years’ clinical datawere analysed. The smoke rates of O blood group and A blood group were40%and16.7%respectively (P<0.05); Initial symptoms in each blood type groups were similar, including upper abdominal pain or distention, anorexia, marasmus and so on, eachblood type groups were not statistically significant (P>0.05); The rates of poorlydifferentiated adenocarcinoma were68.1%and36.1%in B blood group and A bloodgroup respectively(P<0.05), the inasie depth of70.7%cases came up to full-thickness,about66.4%cases had lymphatic metastasis and the implication rates of adjacenttissue were61.5%and25.5%in AB blood group and B blood group respectively(P<0.05). The rise rates of CEA and CA199were17.6%and28.7%respectively. InTNM staging, III stage was the most common than others which accounted for49.3%,13.6%was early gastric cancer, laparotomy accounted for82.8%in treatment and65.9%was radical correction, symptomatic treatment or chemotherapy rates were merely occupied17.2%.Conclusion:1、The distribution of ABO blood group of gastric cancer had changed in thefront and back five years. It clues that non-genetic factors which have the effect ongastric cancer pothogenesy are ever-increasing and there may be some relationsbetween blood group and biological behaviour of tumour.2、The diagnostic value of CA19-9and CEA is not significant because of the lowpositive rate of them.3、In addition, The patients of gastric cancer were most in medium-term or laterperiod when they visited doctors, it imply that early gastric cancer is still difficult tomake a diagnosis and give treatment timely.
