Objective: with the developing of the rehabilitation medicine, the effectof the exercise therapy is becoming more and more important. Recently usingthe exercise therapy treat the low back pain focuses on the research oflumbosacral multifidus muscle. The ways of using to improve the function oflumbosacral multifidus have hanging therapy,swiss ball, yoga and so on. Allthese ways improve the force of the multifidus, the sensitivity of the centralnervous and the multifidus coordinate with the surrounding muscle group byletting the spine in an unstable environment. Its theoretical basis on that inunstable environment the spine in order to maintain its own stability,on onehand the central nervous system need to collect more muscle fiber toparticipate in the contractile process or enhance the contractility directly, sothat the muscle strength of multifidus improved; on other hand, the centralnervous system not only need to adjust the controlling of multifidus accordingthe circumstance and need to adjust the cooperation of multifidus with thearound muscle group, so the multifidus to the controlling of the centralnervous system more sensitivity and the multifidus’ coordination skillsimprove. China’s wuqixi exercise accord with the above principle, in thepractice process the change of the spine caused by the changing of gravity, inorder to maintain the stability of the spine multifidus need to overcome thechanging of gravity by the adjusting of central nervous system increasing thestrength or the number of the muscle contraction; in the finishing of the active,not only require the spine in unbalance circumstance but also requiremaintaining a certain time, so this the central nervous system not only need toadjust the controlling of multifidus according the change of gravity and needto adjust the cooperation of multifidus with the around muscle group, this letthe the controlling of the central nervous system more sensitivity and themultifidus’ coordination skills improve. Using the surface electromyography(SEMG) evaluate the function of the multifidus through theanalysis of the enlarged physiological electrical signals’ amplitude, frequencyand time, the reliability and the validity is higher, and the process of the examno pain and wound. Imaging (MRI) compared with the X-ray and CT not onlythe most intuitive but also can provide more information. For those reasons thepurpose of this research is using the SEMG and the MRI as the evaluationways compare the lumbosacral multifidus muscle’s function of wuquxipractitioner, No fixed sport volunteers and low back pain patients. Therebyprovide the theory for the using of wuqixi exercise in the prevention and cureof the low back pain, meantime also provide the theory for the applying of thechina’s traditional sport therapy in modern rehabilitation.Methods: Random select15pratitioner of wuqinxi exercise from thepark of Shijiazhuang city as wuqixi exercise group, including7men and8women; the inclusion criteria are that their age must from45to70, they musthave been exercised this sport t one year at least, and must finish the entireexercise five times a week at least. Random select15No fixed sportvolunteers from the same park as normal volunteers group, including8menand7women; the inclusion criteria are that their age must from45to70, nofixed sports. Random selection15person who have be diagnosed low backpain in our hospital outpatient from June to July of2011as low back paingroup, including7men and8women; the inclusion criteria are that their agemust from60to75, they have low back pain history at least2years and innearly half a year have been recurrence twice at least, all of the patientscomplaint with chronic back pain, the examine of X-ray or CT or MRI of thespine removing the patient with the spine or spinal cord out infection, tumor,spine fracture, ankylosing spondylitis and surgery history of abdomen andwaist. Collecting the surface electromyography’s signal of the multifiduswhich locate in the around of L5use the German Biovision table electricaltesting system,then using DASYLab10.0analysis system derive the value ofaverage of electromyography(AEMG), at last calculate the multifidus’ value ofFER according to the formula that flexion extension ratio (FER)=the AEMG when the spine flexing/the AEMG when the spine extending. Using GermanSiemens symphony1.5superconducting MRI scan the multifidus which locatein the levels of L4-5and L5-S1of shaft t2wi, then measure the musclecross-sectional and signal strength directly which locate in the left and rightside of the levels of L4-5and L5-S1and the fat tissue’s signal strength whichlocate in the same place of all the examinee with their own bring system, atlast calculate the multifidus and the fat tissue’s contrast ratio according to theformula that C(contrast ratio)=︱S1(one tissue’s signal strength)-S2(othertissue’s signal strength)︱/︱S1(one tissue’s signal strength)+S2(othertissue’s signal strength)︱. Manage all the date with the software of SPSS13.0.Results:1the multifidus’ value of FER show that Wilks’ Lanmbada test statisticsis0.432, F=10.705, p=0.000. These show that the mean vectors of themultifidus’ value of FER around the3group have differences. From this canconsider that3group of the multifidus’ value of FER are differences. Theresults of pairwise comparisons show that the low back pain patients’ value ofFER are the hightst, No fixed sport volunteers’ are the higher and wuqinxiexercise’s are the lowest.2The contrast ratio of multfidus with fat tissue show that Wilks’Lanmbada test statistics is0.216, F=11.211, p=0.000. This show that themean vectors of contrast ratio of multifidus with fat tissue around the3groups’ subject have difference. From this can consider that the contrast ratioof multifidus with fat tissue around the3groups’ subject have difference. Theresults of pairwise comparisons show that the low back pain patients’ contrastratio is smaller than the normal volunteers and the wuqinxi exerciser’s, thereno difference that the left and right side of the L4-5level and the left side ofL5-S1level, the wuqinxi exerciser’s larger than the No fixed sport volunteers’in the left side of L5-S1level3The multifidus’ cross-sectional results of nonparametric test show thatthe4places’ valve of Chisquare are13.629,9.826,10.306,14.374,and the valve of P are0.001,0.007,0.006,0.001which locate in the left and right sideof the L4-5and L5-S1levels. These mean that4places’ cross-sectional ofmultifidus are difference around the3group’ subject. The results of pairwisecomparisons show that the wuqinxi exerciser and the No fixed sportvolunteers’ cross-sectional of multifidus larger than the low back pain patient,but there no difference between the wuqinxi exerciser and the normalvolunteer.Conclusion:1The exercise of wuqixi can improve the function of lumbosacralmultifidus muscle, so this sport can be used in the prevention and cure of thelow back pain.2The function of lumbosacral multifidus muscle decreas in the low backpain patient.3The surface electromyography better than the MRI in the evaluation ofthe early lumbosacral multifidus muscle’ function changes.4The sensitivity of the evaluation can be improve if use themeasurement of the multifidus’ cross-sectional area and the contrast ratio ofmultifidus with the fat tissue at the same time.
