Abject:To investigate the relationship between the CYP1A1and GSTM1genetic polymorphism and the genetic susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Yunnan province under studying the CYP1A1and GSTM1genetic polymorphism in45NPC patients and30healthy people from YunNan province with PCR-RFLP. This research can provide the basic techenique support and clinic guide for studying the mechanism related with NPC and sifting high-risk people.Materials and methods:45patients with NPC (first visit, without radiation and chemotherapy treatment) under histopathological diagnosis and30cases of chronic tonsillitis specimens and fresh blood from healthy people from the department of pathology, the fourth people’s hospital in YunNan province. All people visited the hospital from2004to2012. The CYP1A1and GSTM1genetic polymorphism in NPC patients and healthy people was carried out through polymerase chain reaction.Result:1. There is no relation between single factor CYP1A1Mspl genetic polymorphism of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and NPC susceptibility. The difference between NPC patients and healthy people was no significant(P>0.05).2. Single factor CYP1A1Exon7genetic polymorphism of nasopharyngeal carcinoma has nothing to do with susceptibility, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P>0.05).3. Single factor GSTM1genetic polymorphism of the testing, there is significant difference comparing the GSTM1functional type(+) with defect type (-) in NPC patients(P<0.05) under the single factor GSTM1genetic polymorphism analysis. It is indicated that GSTM1genetic polymorphism is closely related to the susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).4. To analyze the relation between the genetic polymorphism of CYP1A1combined with GSTM1, CYP1A1MspI genetic polymorphism combined with GSTM1and the susceptibility nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), the results show that there were no significant differences compared with control group(P>0.05).5. Through the single factor analysis, smoking is no concerned with the susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the result shows that there is no significant difference.Conclusion:1.CYP1Al gene polymorphism including MspI type gene type and type Exon7genotype is not concerned with the susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.2. There is closely relationship between GSTM1genetic polymorphism of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and its susceptibility. It is that if the GSTM1lack homozygous form and Exon7mutant type homozygous, heterozygous of CYPlAlexists at the same patients, the susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma increased.3. Through the single factor analysis, smoking is no concerned with the susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
