Objective:To research the relativity between the anatomy of patellofemoral joint and anterior knee pain in early after total knee arthroplasty,the main reasons of anterior knee pain in early after total knee arthroplasty will be knowed,which provide the theory bases to prevent and control the occurrence of anterior knee pain after total knee arthroplasty.Methods:Randomly assian the patients from February2009to August201l,who feel painful or unpainful in their anterior knees when they walk in early after total knee arthroplasty into test group or control group.There are20patients(20knees) in test group,including6males and14females.The average age of test group is66.30±6.62. There are20patients(20knees) in control group,including5males and15females.The average age of control group is66.10±5.59.And the results of a few parameters such as femur trochlea angle,lateral patellofemoral Angle,patello femoral congruence angle,improved Insall-Salviti exponent and patellofemoral exponent in the X-ray at the time point of1m、3m、6m will be recorded、compared and researched.Results:When the results of the parameters such as femur trochlea angle,lateral patellofemoral angle,patellofemoral congruence angle, improved Insall-Salviti exponent and patellofemoral exponent in the X-ray at the time point of1m、3m、6m were compared, there are no significant differences in the comparison of the results of femur trochlea angle,lateral patellofemoral angle and improved Insall-Salviti exponent between two groups(P>0.05),and there are significant differences in the comparison of the results of patellofemoral congruence angle and patello femoral exponent between two groups(P<0.05).In the test group, there are no significant differences in the multiple comparison of the results of the five parameters in the X-ray at the time point of1m、3m、6m(P>0.05).In the control group, there are also no significant differences in the multiple comparison of the results of the five parameters in the X-ray at the time point of1m、3m、6m (P>0.05).Conclusion:Two parameters such as patellofemoral congruence angle and patellofemoral exponent in the X-ray are the main rensons for anterior knee pain in early after total knee arthroplasty. And there is no significant relativity between anterior knee pain and the other three parameters such as femur trochlea angle,lateral patellofemoral angle and improved Insall-Salviti exponent in the X-ray in early after total knee arthroplasty.
