Objective:Through the collection of cases of peptic ulcer observation, to preliminary analysisthe distribution of the body constitution type in TCM and syndrome type of peptic ulcer, and explore the possible correlation between them. Methods:By the questionnaire survey,148patients who were diagnosed as peptic ulcer cases are categorized into nine constitution types, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine Physical Classification and Judgment. And they are categorized into five syndrome types, namely, syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach, syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach, syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach, syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach, syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral. And observe the patient’s age, gender, and occupation, residence of general situation, gastro-scope report, and HP infection. Data base was established, the relationship of TCM constitution and the syndrome of peptic ulcer were analyzed by SPSS statistical software.Results:1. The frequency of TCM Constitution types in peptic ulcer in descending order is:yang-deficiency type(26.4%)> qi-deficiency type(18.4%)> phlegm-wet type(17.6%)> qi-depression type(14.2%)> gentleness type(7.4%)=yin-deficiency type(7.4%)> wetness-heat type(5.4%)> blood-stasis type(2.7%)>special inherited type(0.7%).2. The frequency of the Syndromes of peptic ulcer in descending order is syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach (30.4%)>syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach (27.7%)>syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach (25.7%)>syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach (10.1%)>syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral (6.1%).3. TCM Constitution types in peptic ulcer have a certain relationship with gender, age, Hp infection:qi-depression type and wetness-heat type are common in youth, yin deficiency type, qi-deficiency type and phlegm-wet type are common in middle age, yang-deficiency type is common in older; gentleness type, yang-deficiency type and phlegm-wet type is common in male, and qi-deficiency type, qi-depression type and yin-deficiency type are common in female; Hp infection is common in phlegm-wet type and qi-depression type, non-Hp infection is common in qi-deficiency type, yang-deficiency type and yin-deficiency type.4. The TCM Syndromes of peptic ulcer have a certain relationship with gastro-scope stages and HP infection:syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach and syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach are common in active phase group, syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach is common in concrete phase group, and syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach and syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral are common in union phase group. HP infection is common in syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach and syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach, non-Hp infection is common in syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach, syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach, and syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral.5. The syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach is common in qi-depression type and gentleness type, the syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach is common in yang-deficiency type and qi-deficiency type, the syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach is common in yin-deficiency type, the syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach is common in phlegm-wet type and wetness-heat type, the syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral is common in qi-deficiency type and blood-stasis type. Qi-depression type is common in the syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach, yang-deficiency type and qi-deficiency type are common in the syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach phlegm-wet type is common in the syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach, qi-deficiency type and blood-stasis type are common in the syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral.Conclusion:Yang-deficiency type, qi-deficiency type, phlegm-wet type, and qi-depression type are the major types of the body constitutional type in TCM of peptic ulcer. The syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach is the most. The next is syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach, and syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach. We find that the patients of phlegm-wet type are easy for syndrome of dampness-heat of spleen and stomach, and the patients of yang-deficiency type are easy for syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach and syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral, and the patients of qi-deficiency type are easy for syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach and syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach, and the patients of qi-depression type are easy for syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach, and the patients of yin-deficiency type are easy for syndrome of yin deficiency of stomach, and the patients of blood-stasis type are easy for syndrome of stasis in stomach collateral, and the patients of gentleness type are easy for syndrome of in-coordination between liver and stomach and syndrome of weakness of spleen and stomach. It is indicative by this study that treatment of peptic ulcer should be combined with arguing body disease and syndrome. Based on the patient’s constitution of intervention and adjustment, we can improve the curative effect of TCM we can reduce the recurrence, and prevent the disease.
