By using the methods of literature, interviews, logical method and etc, paper study the origin and development of Gua sha in Chian and America, compare therapy soft tissue injury by Gua sha in China with that in America, also study the medical mechanism of Gua sha and the significance of application Gua sha to therapy injury of soft tissue, so as to make Gua sha more systematization and give advices to exercise training.The results show that:Gua sha originated in China, it is Chinese traditional medicine, and it is the invaluable heritage of traditional Chinese medical theory, it is a kind of Chinese traditional natural therapy which based on the development of traditional Chinese medicine. While the America Gua sha theory and technology originated from a soft tissue injury and repair of assistive technology development, which different from ancient Chinese knowledge and technology.Modern medicine thinks that Gua sha plays an important role in medical care, and Gua sha is widely used in soft tissue therapy and has achieved significant results.Chinese Gua sha’s preparations have more contents than American, and Chinese Gua sha’s tools are simplicity, while America Gua sha’s tools are a group of stainless steel tools which are specially produced. Chinese Gua sha’s angle is bigger than that of America Gua sha’s.Chinese s Gua sha’s time is longer than America Gua sha’s time, but have low frequency.
