BackgroundAcute upper gastrointestinal bleeding is a kind of clinical familiarly digestive system disease. How to improve the success rate of treatment of this disease is an important part of digestive physicians’clinical work. The Variety clinical data show that traditional Chinese medicine has a better effect on it. But the research about Upper gastrointestinal bleeding is lack of reliable research methods. There has not any uniform standards for the diagnosis and treatment evaluation criteria. And clinical screening for this disease is lack of standardized examination and treatment.Clinical pathway with informationization is a new medical management model, which can offer patients a standardized examination and treatment, and it can improve the efficiency of hospital operations and improve health care quality, reduce medical costs.ObjectiveTo evaluate the existing clinical pathway informationization of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, and indicate the advantage and disadvantage. On the other hand, due to the current clinical pathway implementation environment especially the application environment of the information system the lack of comprehensive evaluation, aiming at this problem this paper will be of clinical pathway of medical information technology are analyzed and discussed, in order to improve the future of clinical path information software development.MethodsThe research took method of clinical non-random and contrast in the same period. The patients fit the request were divided into the clinical pathway group and non-clinical pathway group. The patients of clinical pathway group are cured in clinical pathways method, which is a integrated therapy of TCM. To the patients of non-clinical pathway group, were cured in normal ways. In the treatment, gathered the two groups’data such as their general data(sex, age etc), course of illness, the bleeding state when they came and how they felt when they left the hospital, the time they being in hospital, the expenses and how the Chinese medicine ways carried out. After the data were collected, use SPSS13.0to record the data and analyze it.ResultsIn this research,82cases were collected and among them the clinical pathway group was40cases, the non-clinical pathway group was42cases, no case were rejected. The baseline of two groups was comparable, which included sex, age, course of illness, basic disease, their bleeding state when they came to the hospital(P>0.05). The therapy effects to the clinical pathway group was better to the non-clinical pathway group. The time being in hospital and the expenses were reduced when compared to the non-clinical pathway group(P<0.05). Through research and analysis, the use of information technology to meet the clinical medical needs, to constantly improve the clinical path information software is the key to the success of software application.ConclusionComparing to the non-clinical pathway group, the integrated treatment protocol of upper gastrointestinal bleeding insufficiency has its own merit in boosting up the treatment and curtailing the cure time. But it also has its own shortcoming, it need US make further study on it and as a result improve it.
