IntroductionPost-stroke fatigue (PoSF) is a high prevalence pathologic symptom after stroke, which negatively influenced rehabilitation training and activities of daily living of the stroke patients. Those with PoSF suffer from persistent and significant fatigue which decrease the capacity for physical and/or mental activity. As a kind of central fatigue, there is lack of study on its latent causes, mechanism and interventions. It has been proved that it’s available for treating PoSF with traditional Chinese medicine. This study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine based on tonifying qi and warming yang decoction for patients with PoSF.Methods30patients with PoSF received tonifying qi and warming yang decoction, daily a dose, for30days, while30others do not. To value the clinical ef icacy before and after treatment.ResultAccording to the eficacy criteria, the patients treated with tonifying qi and warming yang decoction were significant efected, whose both physical activities and activities of daily living are better improved.ConclusionTreatment in patients with PoSF with tonifying qi and warming yang decoction showed clinical effectiveness.
