The Traditional Chinese Medicine Literature Study Of Perimenopausal Insomnia

Objective:To explore the etiology, pathogenesis, differentiation of syndromes and the law of treatment of perimenopausal insomniaMethod:Collecting the literatures published in China Journal Net periodical1994.1to2011.12, related clinical research of TCM on perimenopausal insomnia. The literatures accord with research standard that induction on the syndrome’s type, therapeutic method and medication of TCM, and data statistical analysis with EXCEL.1. Classifying the collected literatures.2. Making forms of case number, syndrome’s type of TCM, therapeutic method and medicine in basic prescription.3. Calculating the percentage of each TCM syndrome type and therapeutic method in all cases, recording in forms4. Calculating the frequency of the Chinese herbs in use in different therapeutic method, arranging the frequency from high to low, making the form for the nature and flavor and the channel tropism of the top12Chinese herbs, analyzing the treatment mechanism of TCM and the modern pharmacological research with the top12Chinese herbs.Results:By using computer technology, a database of common syndromes of TCM was founded. There’re (1) Syndrome of Hyperactivity of Yang due to Yin Deficiency of Liver and Kidney (2)Syndrome of Yin Deficiency of Liver and Kidney (3) Syndrome of Hyperact i vi ty of Fire due lo Yin Deficiency;(4)Syndrome of Liver-Spleen Disharmony;(5) Syndrome of Phlegm-Heat Attacking Internally. They are32.69%、25.77%、16.61%、11.50%、5.03%separately. The common therapeutic methods to treal perimenopausal insomnia are (1) Nourishing yin for flowering fire;(2) Nourishing kidney to calm liver;(3) Regulation liver and spleen;(4) Coordinate the heart and kidney;(5)Clear liver to relieve heat;(6)Nourishing liver and kidney;(7)Clear away heat and disperse phlegm. They are15.55%、18.17%、16.86%、14.07%、12.93%、10.14%、4.89%separately. Conclusion:Though the research, we could find out the main causes of Perimenopausal Insomnia are complicated, but the most important causes will be Yin Deficiency of Kidney, Blood Deficiency of Liver. And the treatment for the patients of Perimenopausal Insomnia with Yin Dfincency of Kidney may contains:Radix Rehmanniae, Dragon Bone, Oyster Shell, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Tuber Fleeceflower Stem. The TReament for the patients with Blood Deficiency of Liver may contains:Radix Bupleuri, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Spina Date Seed, Silktree Albizia Bark. Also base on the treaments above, herbas for treating Hyperactivity of Yang of Liver Hyperactivity of Fireand other syndromes can be added, according to the syptoms of each patientSyndrome of Phlegm-Heat Attacking Internallyis a special type for Phlegm-Heat is the most ergent problem to deal though the patients of this type will also have deficiency of organs.
