PartⅠ:P53Arg72Pro polymorphism and the risk of brain gliomaObjective To inverstigate the association between P53Arg72Pro polymorphisms(C12139G) and the risk of brain glioma. Methods Dates under the same criteria about association between P53Arg72Propolymorphisms and the risk of glioma were collected. The pool ORs with95%CI werecalculated to assess the association strength between P53Arg72Pro polymorphisms andthe risk of brain glioma using Meta metlods. Sensitivity and publication bias wereevaluated.Result Nine dates with2319cases and3682controls were included. The pooled resultindicated12139C allele can increase the risk of glioma in the Cancasian(P=0.04, OR=1.25;95%CI1.01-1.55, Pheterogeneity=0.002) compared with G allele. Sensitivity analysis showedthat aboved combined results could not be effected by individual study. Conclusion P53Arg72Pro polymorphisms can increase the risk of glioma in theCancasian PartⅡ:XRCC1Arg399Gln polymorphism and the risk of braingliomaObjective To investigate the association between XRCC1Arg399Gln polymorphismand the risk of brain glioma. Methods Dates under the same criteria about association between XRCC1 Arg399Gln polymorphism and the risk of glioma were collected. The pool ORs with95%CI were calculated to assess the association strength between XRCC1Arg399Glnpolymorphism and the risk of brain glioma using Meta metlods. Sensitivity and publicationbias were evaluated.Result Six dates with2743cases and3783controls were included. The pooled resultindicated the25487G allele may be not associated with the risk of glioma in the worldwidepopulation(P=0.35, OR=1.14,95%CI0.87–1.51, Pheterogeneity<0.00001). Besides, thereis no association betwwen25487G allele and the risk of glioma in the Caucasian (P=0.34,OR=1.18,95%CI0.84-1.67, Pheterogeneity<0.00001) too. Sensitivity analysis showed thataboved combined results could not be efected by individual study. No publication bias wasfound, conclusions were reliable. Conclusion XRCC1Arg399Gln polymorphism might bot be the risk factors forglioma.
