Objective:To explore the relationship between chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases(COPD) and lung cancer (LC).COPD is often associated with lung cancer, raising awareness of COPD-LC is very important. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical features of the all COPD complicated with LC. This study will be helpful for the early diagnosis、early treatment and improving the poor prognosis of the disease. Methods:The analysis was based on data of a case-control study conducted during the period from2010to2012in gan su,china, and was evaluated by the odds ratio (OR).Results:The patients with respiratory disease had an increased risk of lung cancer, OR=1.8for chronic bronchitis, OR=1.95for emphysema, OR=2.56for COPD and OR=2.12for tuberculosis. The patients with familiy history had an increased risk of lung cancer,OR=2.65for familiy history of lung cancer and OR=2.07for familiy history of COPD.When FEV1%was lower than80%,the risk of lung cancer increasd(OR=1.85). The patients with COPD had an increased risk of squamous cell lung cancer (OR=2.14) and Clinical staging in stage III+IV were significantly increased (OR=6.94)Conclusion:The patients with hisrory of COPD and family history of COPD have an increased risk of lung cancer, and the impairment of lung function is suggested to increase the risk of lung cancer. Lung cancer patients with a history of COPD, a higher incidence of lung squamous cell carcinoma, and had the characteristics of late clinical stage...
