Objective:The present study was designed to investigate the interactionbetween disease activity score and inflammatory markers in rheumatoidarthritis (RA) subjects;explore sensitive indicator of early assessment ofdisease activity; investigate influence of biological agents on inflammatorymarkers in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) subjects. Methods: Retrospective analysis of the DAS28score and inflammatorymarkers in134patients with RA; Before and after comparison of theapplication of biological agents (55cases, biological agents group),non-application of biological agents (79cases,non-biological agents group),repeatedly review the disease activity score, and inflammatory markers whetherdifferences exist.Result:(1) The DAS28score was positively correlated with theerythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)(r=0.587,P<0.01),and C reactionprotein (CRP)(r=0.461, P <0.01), and platelet count (the PLT)(r=0.443, P<0.01)。The DAS28score was negatively correlated with the prealbumin (PA)(r=-0.518, P <0.01), albumin (ALB)(r=-0.536, P <0.01)and mean plateletvolume(MPV)(r=-0.371,P<0.01);(2)1week after treatment,ESR、 CRPdecreased(9.93%,26.98%),PA rise(14.48%) compared with the previous, thedifference was statistically significant(P<0.05),PLT decreased(1.39%),ALB、MPV rise(2.04%,0.67%) compared with the previous,no statistically significantdifference(P>0.05);2weeks after treatment,ESR、 CRP decreased(19.87%,37.75%),PA、ALB rise(37.34%,7.75%) compared with the previous, statistically significant difference(P<0.05),PLT decreased(7.09%), MPV rise(0.68%) compared with the previous,no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);3months after treatment,ESR、CRP、PLT decreased (47.08%,53.71%,10.13%),PA、ALB、MPV rise(36.78%,11.54%,1.53%) compared with theprevious, statistically significant difference(P<0.05);(3) biological agentsgroup:1week after treatment,ESR、CRP decreased(10.96%,38.55%),PA rise(19.99%) compared with the previous, the difference was statisticallysignificant(P<0.05),PLT decreased(1.45%),ALB、 MPV rise(3.05%,0.36%)compared with the previous,no statistically significant difference (P>0.05);2weeks after treatment,ESR、 CRP decreased (21.21%,56.06%),PA、 ALBrise(53.67%,8.66%) compared with the previous, statistically significantdifference(P<0.05),PLT decreased(7.45%),MPV rise(1.84%) compared with theprevious,no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);3months aftertreatment,ESR、CRP、PLT decreased (55.24%,76.94%,11.86%),PA、ALB、MPV rise(55.24%,12.78%,4.58%) compared with the previous, statisticallysignificant difference(P<0.05);(4) non-biological agents group:1week aftertreatment,ESR、CRP decreased(7.04%,12.3%),PA rise(8.25%) compared withthe previous, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),PLT decreased(1.36%),ALB、MPV rise(1.13%,0.13%) compared with the previous,no statist-ically significant difference(P>0.05);2weeks after treatment,ESR、 CRPdecreased (15.89%,26.5%),PA、ALB rise(23.44%,6.87%) compared with theprevious, statistically significant difference(P<0.05),PLT decreased(6.69%),MPV rise(0.61%) compared with the previous,no statistically significantdifference(P>0.05);3months after treatment,ESR、 CRP、 PLT decreased(30.74%,40.78%,9.19%),PA、ALB、MPV rise(25.94%,10.57%,0.89%) compa-red with the previous, statistically significant difference(P<0.05);Conclusion:(1) The PA, ALB, PLT,MPV, ESR and CRP was significantlyassociated with the DAS28score;②The prealbumin, albumin, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C reactive protein can be used as a new inflammatorymarkers in patients with RA;(3)ESR, CRP, prealbumin may be a moresensitive assessment of the activity of RA patients.
