Purpose In this study, patients with cerebral infarction by measuring theblood at different times of transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1) levels,and further understanding of TGF-β1and cerebral infarction and its clinicalsignificance.Methods We serially (at days1,3,10) measured the serum TGF-β1levels in72consecutive cases of cerebral infarction By ELISA.Result In the study group, cerebral infarction,3,10days blood ofTGF-β1content were22.4±4.3pg/mL, the25.9±6.1pg/mL,31.6±6.2pg/mL. The control group was38.1±4.1pg/mL, and three control groupdifferences were statistically significant (P <0.01). In the study group, theincidence of one day compared with onset3days group, the latter the blood ofTGF-β1levels have rebounded, both by the test was statistically significant (P<0.05); incidence of three days with the onset of10days. blood of TGF-β1inthe content of the latter rebounded significantly, statistical tests, the significantdifference (P <0.01); incidence of one day with the onset of10days, the latterthe blood of TGF-β1were significantly higher than the former, the differenceis very significant (P <0.01), but still below normal levels. Statistical tests inone day, a large infarction group cerebral infarction in the infarction group andthe small infarct group blood TGF-1levels were17.3±3.1pg/ml,23.9±3.0pg/ml25.0±2.6pg/ml,, small infarction group blood TGF-1contentwas significantly higher than the large infarct group (P <0.01), small infarctiongroup and in the infarction group was no significant difference (p>0.05). Theonset of three days, a large infarction group, the infarction group and the small infarct group blood TGF-1content of18.7±3.9pg/ml, respectively,27.1±3.2pg/ml30.0±4.6pg/ml by the statistical tests, small infarction groupblood TGF-1content was significantly higher than the MI group (P <0.01) inthe small infarct group between the two was no difference (P>0.05). The onsetof10days, the MI group, MI group and the small infarct group blood TGF-1content were24.7±5.3pg/ml,31.7±4.3pg/ml,36.7±2.6pg/ml, smallinfarction group blood TGF-1were significantly higher than in the infarctiongroup (p <0.05) and MI group (p <0.01). Infarct volume and blood of TGF-β1expression level of a linear correlation analysis, both a negative correlation (r=-0.7339), Y=30.4488-0.7058X. Namely acute ischemic cerebral infarctionblood TGF-β1content downward trend in the increase of infarct volume (P<0.01).Conclusion:1.cerebral infarction acute phase of TGF-β1contentincreased dynamic changes after an initial drop.2.cerebral infarction acutephase TGF-β1and infarct volume was negatively correlated.3.TGF-beta isexpected as a neuroprotective factor used in the treatment of cerebral infarction.
