The Application Of Psychological Interventions In The Orthopaedics Perioperative Period

ObjectiveThis study is designed to assess school-age children and parents psychological statement in the perioperative period and to take the psychological intervention measures in order to evaluate the value of psychological treatment in the clinical application.Materials and Methods52patients range from6to10who will accept elective surgery and parents are randomly divided into two groups,the experiment group includes27patients which accept psychological treatment and the controlled group is made of25patients which accept nothing. All evaluations of psychological status are done personally.The controlled group patients have routinely preparation and supervision and we have not taken any psychological interventions before the operation and evaluated the psychological assessment of children and their parents. Postoperative recovery return visit only observes the wound,the experiment group patients accept not only genaral intubation anesthesia and operation,but also psychological treatments in the preoperative period,which include psychological interventions、cognitive interventions and emotional interventions. Psychological interventions include to strengthen the communication with the children and their parents, know the feeling and talk to them how to do in the stage; cognitive interventions include to tell patients how to do this operation and what is this disease. emotional interventions show them the relationship between emotion and disease, elivate negative emotion.After interventions,we evaluate two groups patients, psychological status according symptom checklist-90(SCL-90) two groups children, psychological status based on modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale(mYPAS) in different stages:preoperative supervision(T1)、in the operation room(T2)、induction of general intubation anesthesia、postoperation24hours(T4).we evaluate children status in T3baded on The Induction Compliance Checklist(ICC).ResultsThe experiment group parent SCL-90scores below the controlled group compared to Tl,both of the two group children scores have increased significantly(P<0.05),compared during the experiment group and the controlled group.the former group scores of anxiety is below significantly(P<0.05);at the same time,ICC scores is below.two groups patients scores are high compared to T1, P<0.05.Conclusions1、psychological treatments in the preoperative period of school-age children elivate effectively anxigty perioperation and negative emotions to enhance perfect induction.2、psychological treatments in the preoperative period of parents have helped children through psychological barrier.
